Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has been elected parliamentary party leader of the main opposition party through election held on Wednesday. Deuba received 139 votes out of total 206 votes cast. His closest candidate Ram Chandra Poudel got 67 votes. Votes were cast through an electronic voting machine. The voting began from 11 am and ended at 2 pm today. Earlier, Deuba had defeated Poduel to become NC president through 13the General Convention of the party.
