According to government officials, South Korea is planning to hire 6,000 Nepalis under the Employment Permit Scheme (EPS). In 2012, South Korea had recruited 5,800 Nepalis for various companies after reducing quotas for other countries. The government conducts Korean language exam and those who pass the exam are eligible for employment opportunities in South Korea.The South Korean government has established a Korean Language Exam center in Lalitpur. The center will conduct computer-based test for Nepali workers who have returned from South Korea.
